Terra Virtua and Hashmasks are teaming up for a special release of “Rolling Royalties”.
NFT main columns reveal joint series
Terra Virtua, the platform for digital collectibles using augmented reality, has teamed up with Hashmasks.
The popular projects have come together to publish a limited number of NFTs called vFlect Hashmasks. Each piece includes Terra Virtua’s vFlect robot design with a piece from the Hashmasks series to create a new token asset.
Hashmasks were introduced earlier this year and quickly became a talking point among the broader Ethereum and NFT community. They were published in an edition of 16,384 Basquiat-inspired digital portraits with a masked figure. Similar to other NFT collections like CryptoPunks, the characters have different characteristics. For example, some have halos. Others hold a book on their forearm.
Hashmasks also had a unique model in which each owner could name their piece. Owners can specify a name using the project’s native token, NCT.
Before the fall of vFlect Hashmasks, Hashmasks owners had to apply for a license for their NFT. The collaborations were oversubscribed and all 73 pieces were sold out within five minutes.
In a first for the NFT space, the decline has created what is known as a “rolling royalties” model, where Hashmasks owners can earn royalties from another separate NFT. Because NFTs use smart contracts, they can be programmed to automatically pay an owner or creator. When you buy an NFT on a secondary marketplace like OpenSea, the piece’s original creator usually takes a 10% cut.
Jawad Ashraf, co-founder and CTO of Terra Virtua, said the release highlighted the power of the collaboration. He added:
“It is an industry first to let the community create and earn these NFTs, and I expect we’ll see more of these collaborative NFT break-ins – our own too.”
Meanwhile, John Doe, founder of the Hashmasks studio Suum Cuique Labs, noticed that the collection adds a new dimension to the Hashmasks series. He said:
“Each hash mask is really unique and subjectively valuable to each of its owners. Combining it with a vFlect robot not only opens up even more ways to give them meaning and beauty, but also allows NFT owners to monetize their artwork like never before. “
Terra Virtua enables users to create 3D representations of their NFTs. Terra Virtua isn’t the only example of an NFT project focused on 3D after Larva Labs shared details on its meebits decline. The new NFT series from the legendary studio was released with great excitement on Monday and features 3D characters created for the Metaverse.
Of all Terra Virtua’s releases, the vFlect series is one of the most popular to date. Although the current run is sold out, more vFlect Hashmasks will be released in the coming weeks. the site notes.
