Polkamon, the popular NFT and digital collectibles platform founded by Moonrock Capital, traded one of the first NFTs for 75 ETH, valued at more than $ 140,000.
Top influencers and Youtubers like the popular Fortnite stramer PWR Lachlan, who has over 1.5 million followers on Twitter alone, have bought the newly released NFT.

The fear of missing out on NFTs (FOMO) has grown noticeably against the backdrop of celebrities and musicians targeting the NFT market in particular.
Polkamon NFT sees great demand
New Beeple NFTs sold out immediately, and NFTs with a unique brand such as Polkamon have received huge interest from celebrities in recent weeks.
Each Polkamon is supported by a unique NFT via the PMON token, making each collector’s item inimitable and authentic.
Similarly, other branded NFTs like Cyberpunks and Hashmasks have seen huge demand over the past month.
Prior to its IDO on Polkastarter, the Polkamon team announced that 111,000 unique addresses had participated in the popular #ClaimYourEgg campaign. They said:
“It’s only been a few short days since we announced our #ClaimYourEgg campaign, and we’re already making history with more than 111,000 unique addresses claiming their mysterious polkamon egg. With gas fees alone, we estimate that polkamon -Fans spent more than $ 1 million claiming Eggs for their chance to participate in our upcoming IDO on Polka Starter on March 31st. “
NFTs are really going mainstream
Unlike the 2017 and 2018 NFT cycle, NFTs are getting the attention of some of the most popular celebrities, musicians, and entrepreneurs in Asia and the United States.
For example, Calvin Harris and video director Emil Nava said in a recent interview with Billboard that NFT was “an entirely new tool for creativity” that has not yet been realized.
Harris and Nava said:
“With graphics, I and Calvin both have a great love for nature. This is a big thing that we have always loved and that we have always explored in everything … Obviously when we started talking about what we could do together, we immediately thought about nature and thought about feelings that we could for the visuals want to evoke. and we got this idea of these amazing fish that we both fell in love with. When I first realized the scope – I mean, I didn’t really see the scope of what an NFT could be, I don’t think either of us really did. I thought, “Wow, this is a whole new tool for creativity that isn’t monitored by radio or streaming or someone on the label or anything like that.” It’s a whole new street where you can really just put out anything you want, and that’s what music should be like, but it really isn’t.
