Crypto.com announced the launch of a free service that will facilitate filing cryptocurrency taxes in Canada.
Crypto tax for Canadians
According to the company, its new service “makes it easy to file complicated crypto taxes”. Users can import transactions from supported exchanges and the platform generates accurate tax reports in minutes.
“This 100% free service enables users to quickly generate accurate and organized crypto tax reports, including transaction history and records of capital gains and losses,” the company said.
Crypto.com worked with experts to develop the product. “We worked with professional tax advisors to ensure that the calculation logic complied with the available guidelines and laws for filing crypto taxes in Canada.”
The service can be accessed on this page.
Other tax solutions
Crypto.com says the service will be available in other countries and regions in the future.
It has pursued other partnerships in the past as well. In March 2020, tax preparation services were launched through a partnership with CoinTracker, CryptoTrader.Tax and TokenTax. This means that users can export their Crypto.com balance to these tax services.
In addition, last November, Crypto.com entered into a partnership with Cointracking.info. This partnership enabled users to pay for the tax service using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
In addition to its various tax services, Crypto.com offers cryptocurrency investors an exchange, wallet, credit card, and other features.
