Every decision you make in life comes with an opportunity cost. Some are bigger than others, but I’ve seen way too many people fall for it, and that means graduating from university rather than buying bitcoin.
Going to university today is extremely expensive and so harshly transferred to children that it is almost predatory. Most children do not have the money to pay for it, so they are encouraged to go into debt to participate, and high school students often fail to do so. Degrees do not guarantee jobs, and many young adults are unemployed, in debt and with no direction in life.
As a college dropout (supported by my bitcoin friends who also dropped out), I can confidently say that collecting Bitcoin and working on your passions is much better use of your time and money than going to university. Do not you believe me?
Let’s crack some numbers.
Take, for example, James Madison University, a university in my home state that I wanted to attend but which I eventually turned down.
If I had attended this university right after high school and the annual cost (in the state) was $ 26,726 for tuition, room, board, books, travel, personal expenses, and loan fees. After a minimum of four years of schooling, the cost would be in excess of $ 106,904.
Bitcoin was priced at $ 6,537.74 on July 5, 2018, above the price by the date that students would pay their school fees. If on that day you had invested this year’s cost of $ 26,726 in Bitcoin, you would have netted 4.08796951 BTC, which is worth $ 235,285.28 at the time of writing. If you had invested the cost of all four years on that day, you would have received 16.351828 BTC, which at the time of writing is worth $ 942,846.40.
Both 4.08796951 and 16.351828 BTC are far more money than most people will ever see in their lifetime. Accumulating so much of a limited supply of assets is a once in a lifetime opportunity that is missed by almost every young person.
A 20-21 year old with this bitcoin could just sit in BTC for the rest of his life, outperforming most, if not all, of his peers who have graduated (or graduate) from a university. They could even take some of that bitcoin, develop a product, or sell a service by starting a business in hopes of adding value to their society. More wealth opens up enormous possibilities in life for you and gives you the freedom to explore your passions. This is something that university students cannot experience. It’s a much better way to start your adult life than being trapped in debt with no money and no real sense of direction.
Many who cannot afford these upfront costs always have the option to go to college and use their student loans to buy bitcoin so you can afford it. But that can be uncomfortable for most. Even if you don’t have the money to buy Bitcoin to begin with, by working on a job to buy as much Bitcoin as possible, you are still in a position that is way ahead of everyone else. In the bear market for the past couple of years, there was a zoomer on Bitcoin Twitter called David who was able to collect more than two BTC part-time workers in a coffee shop. That’s now worth about $ 116,000 at the time of writing. Those savings earned him two of his total of 21 million Bitcoin supplies and put him on track to be 1 percent on a net worth.
Bitcoin is currently priced at around $ 58,000 less than three years later. However, this argument of collecting Bitcoin instead of paying to attend university still holds true. The uptrend and potential ROI for Bitcoin is unimaginable for those who don’t understand Bitcoin and the current state of the financial world.
It was one of the best decisions I have ever made to study online and work in areas I am interested in instead of going to university. I am free to express myself and see what I like and don’t about different careers. At university, you learn all about possible careers, but you’re never really sure if you want this until you try it for yourself – which a lot of students don’t do, they just graduate and ask questions later. I’ve spoken to a lot of people who graduated from careers that they ended up hating and who wished they never got it. But I’ve never heard anyone regret making Bitcoin and resenting the results that came with it.
The education you will receive in the Bitcoin field consists in taking responsibility, self-sovereignty, Austrian economy, creating value for society, thinking for yourself and much more. Most, if not everything, can only be learned at the expense of a phone / computer and an internet connection. You don’t have to pay any of the university fees above, all of these can be learned for free.
Why pay hundreds of dollars for a single textbook teaching Keynesian economics and stressing the state at your expense when you could buy The Theory of Money And Credit by Ludwig von Mises for $ 12.99 on Amazon? You can get a more useful and better book for a fraction of the cost.
I got the education of my life on Twitter and a few other websites. It has enabled me to socialize and network with some of the most brilliant minds in the world, and opened doors that I didn’t even know existed. Since we’re so early, there are endless possibilities in the Bitcoin space just waiting for someone to come and grab it. There are many things in life that you will not learn from a classroom and that you need to learn from a mentor. In the Bitcoin space there are many smart adults who are happy to pass on their knowledge to younger generations and help them succeed. This is a huge step up from the university network where you only talk to a group of kids who also have no idea what they are doing in life.

Earning bitcoin while indulging in your passions in life is a cheaper use of your time than paying to attend a university. This results in you avoiding bad debts while saving life-changing amounts of money. With this life-changing amount of money, you can face any challenge and develop your full potential.
The great thing about it is that your opportunities open up as you get rich and gain life / work experience. You wouldn’t need a degree to have a successful career because you have the experience and capital to do what you want. And if you want to get a degree, you can leave later after you’ve made your money and the cost of the degree is cheaper (price in Bitcoin).
There is a whole world of opportunities for us to go hunting. Everything we do has opportunity costs. Some choices are better than others. Bitcoin gives us the opportunity to actually live debt-free, worry-free, and financially free. The cost of attending university stands in the way of young adults.
