Bison Trails, a blockchain infrastructure platform-as-a-service company, announced today that it has launched support for Crypto.org Chain, a tendermint-based open-source and permissionless blockchain developed by the Crypto-Service- Company Crypto.com was launched. This follows the success of the Crossfire testnet for Crypto.org, which processed 275 million transactions during its beta run.
Crypto.com was one of the first cryptocurrency companies to issue international quality assurance standards for payment cards and information security. The company has a range of crypto asset products including a fiat-to-crypto exchange, payment solutions and a growing number of DeFi offerings.
Bison Trails + Crypto.org chain
The Crypto.org chain will initially be supported by Crypto.com Pay, the company’s mobile payments solution. Bison Trails provides a reliable infrastructure for validation nodes and full nodes to optimize validation and participation in governance in the Crypto.org chain.
Bison Trails supports the main network of the Crypto.org chain with participation clusters, query and transaction clusters and seed nodes. Participation clusters allow users to run validators securely. With Query & Transact clusters, companies can create business-critical applications in the Crypto.org chain. Seed nodes, designed to support the stability of the network in the first year of operation, provide new nodes with a list of peers to connect to. This latest initiative enables new users to have a more seamless user experience and helps the network stay secure and decentralized.
“Crypto.com has grown and evolved since the first crypto-powered Visa card was launched in 2018,” said Joe Lallouz, CEO of Bison Trails. “After supporting the Crypto.org chain through the Crossfire test network, we are pleased to continue this collaboration and support its next evolutionary phase. By providing the expertise and infrastructure, we look forward to making participation more accessible for everyone. “
The Crypto.org chain, created using the Cosmos Software Development Kit (SDK), offers more flexibility, control, and scalability to enable seamless transactions for users. Following the recent Stargate upgrade in the Cosmos ecosystem, it will be compatible with other Tendermint chains in the future.
“Bison Trails was an invaluable partner for us with the introduction of the Crypto.org chain, supporting us from test network to main network with extensive technical insights and reliable infrastructure,” said Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com. “This is a crucial moment in our company that brings us closer to our vision of making crypto assets and transactions accessible to everyone. We look forward to continuing to work with Bison Trails. “
